I was born in 1975 and I live in Ome, near Brescia, in Northern Italy. I've always loved blades, and I started forging in 2006 when I had the chance to meet my Master Dario Quartini. You can find us every Sunday from March to November at the ancient Maglio Averoldi in Ome, an ancient forge dating back to the 15th century and still functioning.
I try to interpret Japanise blades using artistic damascus: my aim is to meet the modern European tradition of artistic damascus (illustrated, mosaic, etc) with the traditional shapes of historic Japanese baldes.
My knives are entirely hand-made, from the blade to the scabbard, from the handle to the garnishing. I use high quality carbon steels, like K720, K600, 1095, and refined woods from all over the world, both stabilized and natural. All my knives are uniques and limited, and that's one of the reasons why I prefer to select carefully the events to attend, both in Italy and abroad.
